As most of you know the Iditarod has been going on for the last couple of weeks. The trail from Anchorage to Nome goes through many of the BSSD villages which is an awesome experience for those who live there. We have received several pictures from other teachers in the district who have been fortunate enough to see the race. The picture above is of Rick Holt, an ex BSSD employee and a first time racer.
Jesse and I tried earlier in the year to make arrangements to go to Nome to see the race end, but all of the rooms were already booked. Since we have decided to stay another year, maybe we will be able to see the race next year.

That's great that you guys are staying on another year. You will be old pros, and your respective sports teams will be state champs! I hope you get to see the Iditarod next year too.
