Wild Alaska

It truly is wild here.  This picture was taken in our driveway.  The moose was about 10 feet away from us.  There are several that rome around our place, but this is the closest I have been when I had the camera available.  He isn't too bothered by us and we don't mind seeing him.
The weather has been pretty good so far.  No snow yet, although everyone tells us it will be anytime now.  It has been in the 40s and 50s and it is much more pleasant than Stebbins at this time.  We got to see the trees change colors earlier this month which was really nice because we haven't seen it for 2 years.  (No trees on the tundra)
My parents are coming up in a couple of weeks and we are very excited about that.  We might make a trip to Seward if the weather is nice and the roads are still clear.  I'm sure we will do our fair share of eating local seafood as well.  Yum!
By the way, Eli turned 6 months old yesterday.  Where does the time go?  We are going to start trying some real food with him.  I think he is more than ready.  He is always trying to steal our silverware when we are eating.
Take care!

Wow, six months old already. Such a big boy - and he's looking so handsome too!

Enjoy the rest of you fall!
