It's been a long time since we have posted. If anyone out there is still following our blog, we give our apologies. We had a very busy summer. Eli decided to show up eleven days early and caught us all off guard. Katy was already in Washington staying with family and I was in Anchorage at the Alaska Teachers Fair looking for a new job. In the end, I left from Anchorage to be with Katy and never returned to Stebbins, maybe some day we will go back. Now that we are gone, we appreciate all that it had to offer and I don't think we will ever regret the time that we spent there.
Our summer was wonderful and surreal with the new addition to our family. Lots of days we just stayed at home with family and spent a lot of time just getting used to being parents. However, the summer had to come to an end and it was once again time to return to Alaska. I am now teaching in Soldotna, Alaska which is located on the Kenai Peninsula. There are around 10,000 people living in the area, which compared to Stebbins seems very tame and metropolitan, but we have begun to explore the area and there are many beautiful and interesting things on the Kenai.
