Waqaa, (Yupik for hello)
The last few days the temperature has been dropping and the frozen sea ice has moved in from the North. Nearly all of Norton Sound is frozen, the ice, we have been told, actually moves in from the sea to the shore. According to the temperature gauge on our wall we have set a new record low for the year with 6 degrees.
We are leaving for Seattle tomorrow and can't wait. It seems like a long time since we have driven a car, eaten at a restaurant, used a cell phone etc... We can't wait to see everyone and look forward to visiting with everyone soon.
