A Frozen Stebbins

Waqaa,

How is everyone doing? Katy and I are doing well. We had a few home basketball games this weekend with a village called Savoonga who flew in from St. Lawrence Island located in the middle of the Bering Sea. The games were very close. We lost our first game on Friday night and won the second game on Saturday. A good weekend for us considering we have lost our best player and captain to knee surgery. We have another set of home games with a village from Scammon Bay next weekend.
This is a picture I took while flying home from one of our away games. In the distance is Stewart Island and the Bering Sea. When it's frozen like this it is hard to tell land from sea.
Take Care
Jess & Katy

  1. Hey there! I just talked to Kate last night but haven't posted a comment in a while so thought I'd write a little note. I'm glad to hear that basketball is going well despite some set-backs. It must be nice to have a few home matches and not have to board a plane every weekend! There's not much happening around here...I have two sleeping girls at the moment, so am trying to catch up on some emails and things around the house.
We miss you both very much and can't wait to see you- we are counting the days!
Hang in there! We love you both!
